2009 03 20@1616 -- NEWSFLASH #1: Today I drove to my brother Peter's house so that he could install a 500Gb HD in the AMD Sempron machine he built for me in 2006.  Peter also replaced a  CD/RW drive with my new DVD/RW drive.  As a "proof" that it still worked  we booted up the AMD PC with the newly released PCLinuxOS2009.1 CD in either CD or DVD drive.   To clear desk space for my new Linux test bed,  I gave Peter the broken display laptop of my  2007 Suse Linux experiment [ see "The Ultimate Linux Factor" in CH&Linux 2007 in my Carl & Linux menu below right ]  .
